The highs and lows of professional golf

ree

The 2023 season is well underway with 6 events having been played already.

It's a challenging transition becoming a professional golfer - and one I am more than ready to take on and work through, even when it's not easy.

The start of my first season is proving to be an interesting journey. After finding some confidence in pre-season in Portugal, I managed to finish in the top 10 and gain some confidence.

However, since then, I’ve struggled in the last few events with missing cuts by only a few strokes. This is where focusing on both the balance of mental positivity and focusing on my physical game has been important. Losing out by a few strokes dents my confidence and the only way through is to work harder.

Despite the knocks I’m battling hard and feel as though my game is getting better each week. It's a good way to motivate yourself that's for sure. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season and I’m putting in lots of hard work to try and secure the best results I can. Golf can be hard at times especially with such fine margins, but it's all part of the process and I'm learning a lot along the way.

I’ve been remaining consistent with my physical training throughout the season, training multiple times throughout events to remain fit and Injury free. Training also helps me to relieve mental stress as well. Onwards and upwards!
